A combination of three songs, the first being a sweet piano melody describing a romantic scene in a New York Italian restaurant. The second recounting distant memories and billys life to date, the third an upbeat, fast paced section, a story of two lovers Brenda and Eddie. The End, brings together the story in the Italian restaurant.
When interviewed billy stated that the song was mostly about a restaurant called Fontana di Trevi, across the road from Carnegie Hall in Manhattan which he frequented when performing in this area.
With the incredible piano playing of Billy Joel, and a true jazz band sound transformed into a soft rock and roll song, this song has become one of the favourites amongst Billy Joel fans, even though it was never released as a single.
Go and listen :D
