Xavier Rudd

This Aussie boy has traveled the world with some guitars, some drums and a set of didgeridoos. He has been said to be a Black fella in a White fellas body, This coming from the Aboriginal people means a lot about his charater. His music moves and changes with emotion, often following a very down to earth style. His infuences seem to be mostly blues and roots and folk.

Making Love Out Of Nothing At All

By a band called Air Supply. This Duo consisted of Graham Russell from the UK and Russell Hitchcock From Australia. These Guys Hit their peak in the 80s and have steadily been producing to this day. Their Sound is very clear, They define the voice over anything else and accompany that with nice simple piano playing. They made many love ballads and  i think "Making Love Out Of Nothing At All" is very Representative of their sound

If I Know You

By thy Presets, taking a step back from their usual party tracks, and taking a solom look at the world. I thought i might share a song that shows the presets from a different angle

Take a listen

If I Know You - Released 2009

Kato

On my travels through Myspace i was added by an Artist called Kato. I visited his profile and found that he described himself as being "Emo/hip hop/pop" i thought it was a very interesting combination so i listened on, and what i found was a very interesting combination of styles. Now to be critical, i found the lyrics to be dry and meaningless, and the rapping a tad monotonous, but in combination with the backing tracks and the back up vocals he produces a sound that i rarely hear.

So go listen @ Kato Myspace

I think you will like him also and i hope that eventually he will develop a style that can capture a moment of emotion or express the true Kato. This one will be interesting to watch

The second Major single by "The Cat Empire", released in 2004, is a song for the lazy afternoon party. The Cat Empire, is a very alternative band picking up influences from a variety of genres such as jazz, funk, rock, gypsy and reggae. The Band had their Break when they were introduced the public with their first Single "hello".

Young Man, Old Man

Released under the guise of "the Dissociatives" comes an interesting collaborative work, between Paul Mac and Daniel Johns. Daniel Johns better known for his work with "silverchair" had at the time distanced from silverchair to find inspiration and redirect his music. This was the result
