Melody Gardot

Melody Gardot, from the US, has adopted a soud that i have not heard for quite a while. It is a sound that reminds me of a 40's or 50's film. Its something that no one really tries to produce anymore which is a shame because it is such a beutiful sound and if possible i would like to encourage everybody to listen to because its one of those styles that everyone can associate with at least one point in their life

"Are :n: EL", a group from the UK currently consisting of Rozie Gyems and Leon Cave. Their sound, has a brilliant soul / funk / rock feel. I found them just before posting and i think they are awesome.

I Like The Way You

By "The Bodyrockers", this song reached #3 in the UK and #12 in Australia. It was released in 2005 and was their first major success. Originally Kaz James (AUS) would DJ while Dylan Burns (UK) would sing, but with Kaz starting out on a solo career, it will be interesting to see what they do next.

Stone Parade

Stone Parade, Formed in 2003, having been slowly building their fan base with songs that draw out the essence of feelings everyone can relate to. The band has been categorised as rock and alternative rock, as they swap between the two depending on the mood of the song. As stated by Stone Parade, their music is an "inspiring blend of melody driven rock and compelling lyric" which " reveals a band with a sincere interest in the world around them".
